About me

Hello people! This is Nagaraj Bypadithaya. I did my MBA in marketing from JKSHIM,Nitte, where as a part of academics I started this blog. Currently I am working at a private company. I do drawing, playing, surfing the net, etc. to utilize my time. I play outside on the playground rather than with the gadgets. I play cricket, volleyball, football not because I am good at games, just because I feel reborn after playing. I like to travel to places farther or near with my friends. Doing adventurous things like trekking, bike rides, etc. are my other interests. I used to perform in Yakshagana, the local art about which I have my first article. I have participated in many inter-college fests in my college days. I don't like Reading textbooks. I also don't like the education system we are going through too; where the memory is tested rather than the ability. Cartoons, reality shows are my favorite on TV. I think short temperateness and laziness are my weaknesses which I am trying to overcome.

I am a bit slow in mingling with anyone. But once I get comfortable, I do a lot of random stuff which makes people laugh. I think the sense of humor is my biggest strength because making people happy is the most important thing in life. I have dreamed of being an entrepreneur and being rich and also being a public figure.





About the topic

Tulunadu is that region of Tulu speaking people in Karnataka which is spread across three districts Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Kasaragod. This is a place of natural beauty and accommodative people. It is the hub of various cultures and traditions. The unique traditions of Tulunadu should be known to the world which is why I was inspired to pick up this topic. The glimpse of the Tulunadu traditions is put out in the articles.

It was Parashurama, who is said to be the sixth Avatara of Lord Vishnu according to Hindu mythology who made it a part of the land. Yakshagana

Yakshagana is the famous art in Tulu Nadu.It is an art form which involves song, dance, speech, instruments and much more. In fact, it is a combination of all these. Different stories are performed overnight. There is Himmela which is a group of people which gives the background music and Mummela which is a group of people performing the acts. There are two styles of yakshagana, tenkutittu, which is performed in the south and badagutittu, which is performed in the north. It is called as gandukale which means 'the art of men'. But today even women are into this. It is an art form which requires a lot of strength and communication ability and scholarship. Pili Vesha

Pili vesha is the famous form of folk dance in Tulunadu which attracts the people from across the world towards it. Pili, in Tulu means tiger and vesha mean the attire. Which together means to say, the dance of tiger. It is danced for the beats of Thaase, the drum. The beats of  Thaase can be heard to several meters. It makes anyone feel like dancing. Pili vesha requires a lot of patience while putting on the paint of the tiger. It requires hours together to paint a pili vesha.                                                              Pili vesha has historical importance. Pili or tiger is the animal of Goddess Durga.
